The Health Benefits of Coffee vs. Tea

The Health Benefits of Coffee vs. Tea

Lately I’ve been drinking my fair share of coffee and tea.  On average I have at least one cup of coffee in the morning and one cup of tea in the afternoon.  Originally I was just drinking these hot beverages for their caffeine content, but after doing some research for this newsletter I have found plenty of other reasons to keep up my coffee and tea consumption.  Coffee and tea both contain antioxidants, and they do wonders for our health.

This week we are taking a more visual approach to our newsletter and we have an incredible infographic from Greatist.com covering everything you need to know about coffee and tea.  Below the infographic we have also posted two quick videos, one on the benefits of coffee, and one of the benefits of tea.

If you are a coffee or tea drinker like me, check out the image below to learn why coffee and tea are amazing for us.

The visual below contains:

  • The caffeine content of coffee and tea
  • American consumption of coffee and tea
  • The health benefits of Tea (Green, Black, White, Oolong)
  • The health benefits of Coffee
  • How much is too much caffeine?  And the results of consuming too much.
  • General health benefits of caffeine.

This clip is from Discovery Channel’s “How Stuff Works,” and discusses the effects coffee has on our body.  Check it out, its only 2 minutes long!

This next clip is titled “The Health Benefits of Tea,” and is a 3 minute video presented by Cindi Bigelow of Bigelow Tea!

I hope you took the time to learn all of the wonderful benefits coffee and tea have to offer.  Next week, in Newsletter #5, we will discuss the power of Antioxidants, what they can do for you and how you can get them in your diet.  We ask that you please join our mailing list to receive email updates of our newsletter, promotional messages, and general information about the direction of our company.

Best of Health!
